Customer Reviews
My grandchild is very satisfied
Thankfully
Love my monofin
I have bought this monofin a couple of months ago. At the beginning it was really hard to swim with, probably because I had to relearn the dolphin technique and build some strength. I haven't used one for 25 years! I thought the socks were not very good because the foot sockets are huge, so I bought a pair of ankle socks and stuffed the front with some plastic bags, so it is now perfect. It is hard to put on but a lot of fun to use. There are pros and cons but it is worth it. I think I would have similar issues with other fins too as they all need some gettING used to. Overall, I am very satisfied with my product.
Need getting used to
The monofin is great, except I bought a medium stiffness not realising how hard it actually is. I am probably out of practice and train more to enjoy this fully in the pool. I can only wear it for about ten minutes as it hurts my feet and too hard to swim with. The foot pockets are far too big for my size but I saw a few suggestions from other reviews I will try, which I don't mind. I just hope it will get easier as I gain more strength.
Great mono-fin.
Great mono-fin. Being a profi one it takes a bit to get used to it.
Cheap but very effective in pool or at sea.
I have been using this monofin for over a year in the pool, where it slices through the water for racing. Using it in the sea is a cinch, swimming against the tide and waves is no problem, there is no loss of power, I definately recommend for beginner or intermediate monofin swimmer.
women feet and this monofin
I am a 21 year old woman, with a size 7, 7 1/2 size shoe. So based on the information figured this would fit just fine. Its a bit too roomy for my very slim feet. It was about a size and a half too big. I found a way to make them fit though. I put flip flips inside and the footpockets now hug my feet. I also did NOT receive the free socks. That made me disappointed. Besides all this, the fin looks way more expensive than what it costs.
Fintastic!
The fin is great, and handles well. I get a nice extra boost, and I glide through the water with ease. The foot pockets are very snug which is perfect... I however need to brake them in more, they tend to cramp my feet pretty bad if worn longer then about anhour. Other then my personal experience with the product it does and fuctions exactly as it should I can't wait to order more prodcuts from this store, it's wonderful!
Price is right, product is right too!
Other than recommending the use of full ankle socks to use this product instead of the socks it comes with to avoid side blisters, this is a great monofin for it's price. I was expecting a "regular" quality product to use while training, yet I am surprised to see it is well made, sturdy, comfortable to kick, and efficient. In fact for intermediate swimmers who know technique, this will let you swim all day long even with a medium blade which is what I purchased. The black finish scratches easily, and that is expected. Avoid scratches if choosing black by using it in open water only, the other color is will likely hide it's marks, yet it will be easily seen underwater for hunting. Soft blade is highly recommended for free diving in order to use less energy, yet I am comfortable using medium which allows me to kick softly to preserve energy, or kick harder if I want to move. With my other hard monofin, I can clear the water surface on a jump, with this one, I barely reach up to my knees. The optional wings also prevent scratches on the one side they are applied, and I wish the product were offered with the wings on both sides of the blade. It is possibly the best beginner's blade on a budget option, and will likely exceed all your expectations for it's price.
